Next december 18th I'm planning to take the Hikari train from Shin Yokohama to Kyoto at early morning.
Do you think i should make reservation for a group of 10 people in this journey?

Hi there,
With a group of 10 it is definitely recommended to make seat reservations if you all want to sit together.
I think you will be fine if you do it the day before.
