Hi there,
I am planning to travel this summer from Tokyo-Narita to Nikko using the JRP. From Nikko I`d like to go Sapporo with a one day stop on the journey. Which routes will you advise me to take on these two trips?.

For Narita to Nikko: http://bit.ly/1TBOxRq
For Nikko - Sapporo, take the JR Nikko line to Utsunomiya. From there use the Shinkansen to Shin-Hakodate, from where you can use a ltd. express train to Sapporo. I think the best stop over to make would be Hakodate, as it is one of the most interesting cities on the route and you will have to transfer there in any event.
