Hi there,
I'm happy to help!
The best way is to take:
1.) the Shiokaze train from Imabari Station to Okayama Station
2.) then transfer to the the bullet train Hikari from Okayama Station to Tokyo Station
And, the Nationwide JR Pass covers the trains above.
