First time in Japan with family of 3. Itinerary as follows::

Haneda Airport to Tokyo
Tokyo to Kyoto
Kyoto to Osaka and back to Kyoto
Kyoto to Nara and back to Kyoto

Please advise if it is beneficial to purchase JR Pass.

If we purchase JR Pass online, how long to deliver to US (California).

I'd suggest purchasing a JR Pass with this itinerary as you'll be mostly travelling via the Shinkansen bullet trains, meaning it's likely that it would be your most cost-effective option.
