I will be traveling by train for the following route: Tokyo - Kanazawa - Takayama - Kyoto - Osaka over a period of 10 days. Will it be cheaper to buy a JR pass or to buy individual tickets for these trips?

It would not be cheaper to buy a rail pass for this route, and I would suggest just buying individual tickets.
