hi!

would ask for hotel (budget or mid range) suggestions or strategic location in osaka where we can probably book a hotel?

basically from KIX Osaka airport first day -> checkin osaka
2nd day - Universal Studios
3rd day - Osaka Castle, and dontonburi, umeda sky building
- evening check out and head to Tokyo for another week any shopping area suggestions also? :) we may stay for another night..

here are the areas i am looking for in trip advisor - namba, shin-osaka, city centre.. but not sure if this is the nearest convinient for our osaka itinerary.

Hello there,

Although I don't have a specific hotel that I can recommend. I would advise using websites for booking that specialize in Japan travel. Such as Japanican or Rakuten travel, these generally have a better rate and more properties compared to general booking websites. Hostelworld also works great if you are looking for budget accommodations.

For shopping, Namba and surrounding area (Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, Den Den Town) is simply the best in Osaka. It however especially comes to life during the day. The other shopping areas are located around Umeda (Osaka station), this however is a bit more uptown and misses a bit of the atmosphere found in Namba.
