Hi again and thank you for your help.
I think we will be getting 7 day JR pass but arrive in Japan on 17 th April and will stay in Wakayama for a week then plan to go to Gifu and Mount Fuji then back to Osaka to leave on 4th may.
Do we have to say when we will activate our passes when I buy them as I am unsure when we will leave wakayama? Can we activate passes in most train stations or only certain ones?

Hi there,
You can activate your JR Pass at any exchange station, and pick a later date to start travel.

Hi Daniel-san
Thank you for your advice. We will activate our passes when we arrive in Osaka on the 17th April but will not use them till 24th April for 7 days . This would be correct?
