The one that leaves at 06:00 isn't that for JR holders? This one--> Shinkansen - JR Tokaido / Sanyo Shinkansen - Nozomi 1 - Direction: Hakata
And then the LTD.EXP is it the same one as this one?-> Train - JR Hida - Hida 1 - Direction: Takayama... does that JR Pass work in the LTD.EXP?

Hi there!

The Hida wideview limited express certainly is covered by the JR Pass, so is Shinkansen travel to Nagoya station. Please see our blog on how to plan with Hyperdia to find out what options to set so it works well for the JR Pass.

For the Shinkansen be sure to un-select the Nozomi option in Hyperdia as these are not covered by the JR Pass, all other Shinkansen including the Hikari are covered.

I'm confused about the station since it just says Tokyo. Does that mean it leaves from Tokyo Station?

I checked the route for you and it is completely covered by the JR Pass. Be sure to activate your pass the day before (you can select your own starting day) as the exchange office may not be open that early in the morning.

We're arriving in Narita on the 12th of april so we would activate our pass at the Narita airport and then take the express using the JR pass to go to Tokyo :)

Is it really hard to find the JR 'booth' at the Narita airport or is it pretty obvious?

Honestly, you can't miss it :) There's a big signpost outside and there's probably a line of foreigners waiting to activate their JR Passes.

Look for the JR East travel center, there's one in Terminal 1 and 2.
