Our itinerary includes trips to gala yuzawa, tokyo disneyland, osaka, kyoto then back to osaka. We are in Japan from 29 December 2015 to 06 January 2016. Questions:
Are these places all covered by the JR pass?
Is it ok to activate the pass on the 2nd to 8th day since we only plan to get the 7-day pass?
Is the route tokyo-osaka-tokyo covered by a bullet train?

Hello there,
All this places can be reached using the Japan Rail Pass. You can activate it on day 2, no problem! The JR Pass also covers the bullet train between Osaka and Tokyo, so you're all set.
