We have just arrived in Japan and are looki to activate our JR pass and use it to go up to Niseko.
I have looked and think we need to take the train to Kutchan but want to know the best way to get there using ourJR Pass and not have to pay extra.

Sorry I meant from Tokyo to Kutchan - we are staying in Shinjuku for a couple of days and then heading up to Kutchan.
