Hi- Is a JR Green Pass itself required for trip from Tokyo to Ito or can one way tickets be purchased without a pass? Our time in Japan is unfortunately short and not sure if we would take advantage of the perks of a JR pass. Thank you for any guidance you can offer :)

Thank you for your quick response… where do I go to purchase the tickets for this train if Im not buying JR passes? Best in person or online? (Im a little overwhelmed if thats not obvious 🙃)
