Hello, i am purchasing a JR pass. I am from India and will be in Japan from 31st March to 14th April. Can i purchase the JR pass and reserve seats online as i am afraid if i reserve after reaching Japan will i get confirm reservation as it is peak season. Kindly advice.

Hi there,
You won't be able to reserve any seats until you activate the exchange order for the pass in Japan. Once you do this, you have the option to reserve seats for JR-East trains on the Navi-Time site, but other JR groups don't offer the service yet.
