Hello!

Is it worth it for me to buy? My itinerary is Tokyo-Osaka-Nara-Kyoto-Tokyo.

If so, I'm arriving Tokyo on Feb 7th, but I don't want to start using my pass until the 8th because that's when I plan to go to Osaka and I want to come back to Tokyo on February 14th.

Is it possible to have it validated but have a later start date? I'll be at Shin-Yokohama, but the office doesn't open until 8AM and I want to leave for Osaka as early as possible so I want to get it validated when I arrive at Haneda, but can the start date be for Feb. 8th?

Hi there,

A JR Pass certainly would be a good option if you can manage to cover Tokyo-Osaka-Nara-Kyoto-Tokyo with it.

Also good to know is that you don't have to start using the JR Pass right away once you arrive in Japan. You can activate it any time within 90 days after purchase and select a 1st day of use up to 30 days ahead once you activate it.
