Hi I'm planning a trip in October and some guides stated you need to activate your Pass within 30 days.
How early can I get a pass? Is the 30 day activation true?

Hi there,
The JR Pass needs to be activated within 3 months after the original purchase data. Depending on what day in October you wish to travel, it would already be possible to get the JR Pass.
