Osaka to Kanazawa

Hi, on this website, it says that the road between osaka and Kanazawa is totally covered by the JR pass. However, when I check on hyperdia, there is no road without taking private ligne.....And If I'm right, private ligne have a price.

Can somebody help to understand this railway system ? Thanks in advance !
