Hi we will arrive HND for 9 nights and plan to travel to Kyoto then Osaka, Nara and back to Tokyo after few days. Is JRpass best option? I see the prices from Tokyo do Kyoto and back are quite expensive.

If you do the return Tokyo - Kyoto/Osaka in 7 days, then Yes. Otherwise, No :)
