I'll take an individual trip as below.
Kansai to Shin-osaka
Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima
Hiroshima to Miyajima and back
Hiroshima to Shin-Osaka
The rest of the japan trip I will join the tour.
Should I buy the 7 day pass?
And if not for the price, is it more convenient to have a pass than buying each leg of the trip?

Hi Araya,
Here is a little breakdown of ticket prices without the JR-Pass,
Kansai Airport --> Shin-Osaka ¥ 2,460
Shin-Osaka --> Hiroshima ¥ 9,950
Hiroshima Miyajima (return) ¥ 940
Hiroshima -> Shin-Osaka ¥ 9,950
For a total of ¥ 23,300 the 7 Day JR-Pass is ¥ 28,300 so you are 5,000Yen short of the cost price. I feel that this still is a little much, even though it is more convenient than buying tickets all the time. Maybe if you made an other day trip with it, perhaps to Nagoya, would it become worth it.
