We will be traveling to Japan in less than 2 weeks. We will be staying for about 6 days. Would we be able to get a JRPass even tho we’re not staying for 7days and more? We are planning to do day tours from Tokyo-kyoto and back, then tokyo-osaka and back

Yes! You can get a 7 day JR Pass even when you stay less. The cost of a 7 day rail pass is roughly the same as a return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto. Some travelers cover this in one day already, from there any additional travel is basically free :)
