Reserved seat for Tohoku

Hi, i'm planning to visit sapporo on 17 -22 Feb 2025
We're planning to go with this route: Tokyo - Yamagata - Sapporo - Hakodate - Tokyo

From what i understand, it's best to use JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass -- is this correct?
Also i know we need to reserve seat for tohoku shinkansen, is it possible to do the reservation online?
We booked the acommodation already so we want to make sure we got the seat.

Hi there,

Absolutely! The JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass is a perfect fit for your itinerary.

Online seat reservations are not currently available for tickets purchased through JRPass.com. However, you can easily reserve seats once you arrive in Japan at any JR Train Station ticket office (Midori-no-madoguchi) or ticket machine.
