Which Rail Pass do I need I'm lost?

Hi Everyone
First time Japan Traveller, for 19 days in october 2018, I need help ; I have some troubles to find the right rail pass,

Day 1. Arrive KIX ( osaka) and directly to Kyoto for 5 days - visiting Kyoto and Nara
Day 2 Kyoto inside
Day 3 Kyoto inside
Day 4. Kyoto Arashiyama
Day 5. Kyoto to Nara
Day 6. Kyoto -> Kimeji -> Hiroshima Day 7 . Hiroshima ->Miyajima (return)
Day 8. Hiroshima -> Matsuyama
Day 9 Matsuyama
Day 10 matsuyama -> Miyoshi
Day 11 Miyoshi ( Iya valley)
Day 12 Miyoshi -> Naruto
Day 13 Naruto ->Takamatsu
Day 14 Takamatsu -> Okayama
Day 15 Okayama -> Osaka for 4 days
Day 19 Osaka to Kix

which rail pass do I need? where I need a JR pass and where normal tickets? for 19 days

Hi there,

It is a hard itinerary to find a match for, as most passes have a duration less than the amount of days that you'll be travelling. I would either look at using a 14 day Japan Rail Pass or a combination of regional passes.. Perhaps a Setouchi Area Pass x 2 would be of good value.
