JR Pass or Not - KINUGAWA ONSEN

Hi, Travel with family of 4 Please check my itinerary to see JR PASS make sense?

Day1 Tue

Q1, JR Pass?

Q2, I notice JR East has Spacia-Kinugawa鬼怒川號; From SHINJUKU <-> KINUGAWA ONSEN with addon$ to TOBU Rail (how much?) but arrive late around 12 noon. Taking TOBU RAIL KINU, I can arrive by 8:37am/9:57am

Q3, My friend need to do an Airport transfer from HND Haneda to NRT Narita with 3 luggages. What is your transfer recommendation by JR Rail/ Rail/ Bus?

Hello there!

1.) I would certainly use a JR Pass for your travel. Just Shin-Osaka - Hiroshima (¥ 10,230) and Hiroshima - Tokyo (¥ 18,560) pretty much pay for the 7 day JR Pass. In addition you can use the JR Pass for local travel in Tokyo too.

2.) I am not completely sure of your question. However you can use the JR Pass to Kinugawa onsen without extra charge. Here is an example route.

3.) With the JR Pass I would recommend taking the Tokyo Monorail/Yamanote line from Haneda Airport to Tokyo station and then use the Narita Express from there to Narita Airport. If you have a lot of luggage you could also consider a shuttle bus connection from Haneda to Narita Airport, since this way you don't have to make any transfers.
