Hello,
We arrive into Haneda at about 9pm on a Monday, will be in Tokyo for 3 days before going to Kyoto for three days, and return to Tokyo on the following Tuesday.
I planned to buy the 7 day pass, and activate it on the Wednesday to use until the following Tuesday. Do you think this will be fine? I though just using the normal train tickets would be ok for the Monday and Tuesday. Can I use it on local lines on theWednesday?
Do you think it is worth getting the Green Class?

Hi there,
Yes, that looks perfectly fine. The JR Pass is similar in price as a return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto and will be valid until the following Tuesday, which will be the last day of travel.
The Green Class is nice but not a requirement.
