Hello,
We are 2 adults traveling to Japan in March/April. Can you recommend the correct pass for the following itinerary:

March 23 - Tokyo Haneda - Hakone
March 24 - Hakone (Hakone Loop)
March 25 - Hakone - Kyoto
March 26 - Kyoto - Osaka - Kyoto
March 27 - Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto
March 28 - Kyoto
March 29 - Kyoto - Miyajima Island
March 30 - Miyajima - Hiroshima - Miyajima
March 31 - Miyajima - Fukuoka
April 1 - Fukuoka
April 2 - Fukuoka - Tokyo
April 3-4 - Tokyo
April 5 - Depart from Tokyo Haneda

Hello Patty,

Given your itinerary, a 14-day Nationwide JR Pass is an excellent choice for seamless travel across Japan. However, if you are looking for a more economical option, you could consider the Sanyo-San'in Area Pass (7 days) for the middle portion of your trip.

Using this reginal pass from 26 March to 1 April would cover your most expensive legs, including Kyoto to Miyajima and Fukuoka. You would then just need to purchase individual tickets for your journeys to Hakone and your return to Tokyo, which would likely result in a significant overall saving.
