Payment & Intinerary

Hello,

I Have 2 questions about the JR Pass and the payment method.

1 - About the payment method, is there a possibility to pay anything when arriving at Japan and with cash? Or it's only possible to do it by credit card?

2 - I will be spending 28 days in Japan, my Itinerary is Tokyo - Yokohama - Tokyo - Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto - Osaka - Hiroshima - Kumamoto - Fugi - Tokyo, for this kind of itinerary which will be the best Japan Rail Pass and it's available on all those cities? Or it's better to use the SUICA card to go from one city to another and use on those cities also?
