Hi, my son and I arrive in Osaka on the 30 September (where we will be based) and want to make the most of our 7days in Japan, I will buy rail passes but want to get the most out of them. We wish to visit Tokyo, Hiroshima and Mt Fuji is this possible and have ideas for an itinerary?

Hi Chris,
Yes you can visit all of these places and the JR Pass will be a big help.
You could for instance do Osaka - Hiroshima - Hakone (for Fuji viewing) - Tokyo - Osaka. This would be a great way to explore Japan and see many important places.
I'd also recommend a visit to Miyajima when you are in Hiroshima.
