Ticket Activation

Hi there,

We will be arriving travelling to Japan for 12 days, staying the first 4 days in Tokyo before heading onto Kyoto, Osaka and back to Tokyo. I'm wondering if its possible to set an activation date on the JR Pass, so we will be covered for our travelling dates with the 7day JR Pass?
