Someone on another site told me that the wait to exchange my vouchers at Narita airport will most likely be long and will take almost an hour. Is this normal? Will they book seats when I do the exchange or will I need to do that somewhere else? Thanks

Hi there,
The queue's at the Exchange Office in Narita can be long (I must admit I've never had this issue). Anecdotally you may need to wait upto 1 hour on arrival depending on how far near the front of the queue you are ;)
If you'd like to book seats when your exchange you'll need to visit the JR ticket office once you have exchanged your rail pass.
