I have a JR pass that is active from 8th November. Is it possible to activate the pass before that date?
I have to catch a train that leaves before the office is open.

Hi there,
Yes you can select a date ahead of time when you exchange the JR Pass. This can be any day up to 30 days in advance from the date of exchange.
