Hello,
I will be arriving Japan 6/9 and will be visiting for 10 days.
When I purchased my family’s four 7 day passes, I had to enter a “Date of use” , I entered 6/9 , however we will not be using the pass until 6/12 . Do I need to cancel to change the first date we will actually be using the passes? Or do the 7 days start effective the “Activation Date” we provide at the JR counter at Haneda airport ?

Hi there,
The 7 days start on the date you set as the activation date, not when you actually set it. I believe that the 'date of use' is just for us to make sure that the JR Pass will be valid for use then, but I'd check with our support team at [email protected] if you want to change it - remember to provide your order number if you have one so that the process can be made more quickly.
