I think part of your question was answered in your previous post.
This itinerary looks good, you should not have to spend a lot of time and money on travel as all cities are closely located and easy to reach.

If you are mostly interested in seeing the big city, then yes. But Kyoto is a wonderful traditional old capital and worth more time. Spending a day in Nara is well worth it as well. For more info, see:
