Hi,
My family of 2 adults & 2 children (7 & 3 yrs old) will be traveling to Osaka, stay for 6 night, then Tokyo for another 4 nights.
Please advise if it is worth for us to buy the 7 days pass.

Hello there,
You could consider a 7 day JR Pass if you make a return Osaka - Tokyo. As the 7 day JR pass is about the same price as a normal return ticket on the Shinkansen, however now you get 7 days of unlimited travel.
I would recommend buying normal tickets if you just travel one way Osaka - Tokyo.
