Hi everyone,

I'm planning a 10-day trip to Japan and have multiple questions. My itinerary is:

Narita>Kyoto>Nara>Sapporo>Jozankei>Tokyo>Narita

I am planning to purchase a JR pass but can't decide if I should get a 7 or 14-day pass. If I get the 14 days, will I be able to use it for most of the stations in Tokyo? I know there are several trains running in Tokyo and not all can be used by JRl. Also, is the JR pass good for all the cities I am planning to travel to?

I am trying to find a JR schedule so I can plan my trip out but have trouble locating it. Can you please post the link to the JR train schedules?

Hi there,

This is a lot of train travel and a 14 day JR Pass already pays of for a return Tokyo - Sapporo, you would be making amazing savings with travel to all the other places as well. You can use the JR Farecalculator in order to see how much you can save.

You could also look at a 7 day JR Pass but in this case you'd have to be in Tokyo before it expires.

For finding routes, I recommend using www.hyperdia.com.
