I will stay in Japan in april for 8 days.
Could you tell me the best way to get from
-Narita to Tokyo (2 days stay) -Tokyo to Hakone (2 days saty) -Hakone to Nara(2 days saty) -Nara to Narita: where to stay the last night? Osaka, or go back to Tokyo before fly back home?

Hi there,
I recommend using the following types of transportation.
Narita - Tokyo, use the Narita Express.
Tokyo - Hakone, use the Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo station to Odawara. From Odawara local transport can be used throughout the Hakone area.
From Odawara, Shinkansen trains travel directly to Kyoto and Osaka, you can transfer from Kyoto on a local line to Nara.
As for your last day, I would recommend staying near Tokyo or Narita, this way you are sure to be in time for your home flight.
Using a 7 day JR Pass here would help you make good savings, compared to purchasing normal tickets.

I will have to go to Tokyo from Nara the day before I have to fly back home: will it be easier to do Nara/Osaka/Tokyo or Nara/Kyoto/Tokyo?
I just bought the JR pass as you recommended, can I use it for Tokyo subway lines?
