I would like to go from Kanazawa to Takayama, and I prefer travelling by train tan by bus (in addition that I have the jr pass)
I've searched in Hyperdia and I see two possibilities, but I don't know if one of the (the fastest one) is included on the JR Pass, as I have read somewhere else on the web that a part of it it is not covered:
Possibility 1:
07:10 KANAZAWA (LTD. EXP HAKUTAKA 3)
07:47 TOYAMA (LTD. EXP (WIDE VIEW) HIDA 6)
09:31TAKAYAMA
Are those LTD trains included?
If not I've seen another option, but it takes one hour more tan the fist one:
06:50 KANAZAWA (JR Hokuriku Line)
08:03 TOYAMA (JR Takayama Line)
09:05 INOTANI (JR Takayama Line)
10:18 TAKAYAMA
There are other even longer options...
So my question really is if JR pass is also valid for:
-LTD. EXP HAKUTAKA 3 -LTD. EXP (WIDE VIEW) HIDA 6 -LTD. EXP THUNDERBIRD 1 -LTD. EXP HOKUETSU 1
