Hi, we will travel for the first time in Japan. We will arive and leave from Narita airport. We will stay in Tokyo 3 nights than leave for Kyoto. In Kyoto we will stay 4 nights and than again 3 nights Tokyo. We really don't know if the pass is interesting for us.can you give us some advice? Maybe we could do a trip from tokyo or kyoto, but the time is possibly to short. Thanks in advance, olga

Hi there,
A 7 day JR Pass could be a very interesting option for this itinerary. The pass itself is almost the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto with the Bullet train. You can start making savings with the JR Pass if you cover any other travel in addition the return Tokyo - Kyoto. For instance to Narita Express to the airport, local travel in Tokyo on the JR or perhaps even a day trip from Tokyo or Kyoto.
