Hi, I have two questions:
I would like to know if the JR pass includes internal movements within the cities of Tokyo and Osaka or only movements from one city to another.
I'm traveling with my wife and 2 children, but we don't have a confirmed arrival date, can I buy it when I arrive at the airport?

The JR Pass will cover basic metro travel in Tokyo and Osaka, via the JR Yamanote Line in Tokyo and the Loop Line in Osaka. There are other metro lines that are operated by private companies, so to use their transit services I’d suggest purchasing a Suica (or equivalent) travel card.
No, I’m afraid not - the JR Pass cannot be bought in Japan. We may be able to facilitate sending the pass to your accommodation in Japan - if this interests you, please contact [email protected] to see if we can facilitate this.
