I am trying to make up an itenerary using HYPERDIA but the service seems not to be available.
Also the alternatives http://gryphon.hyperdia.com and http://goo.gl/tk88u are not working for me.

Are there any other alternatives ? Jorudan does not offer the track-information and seems to offering a lot less alternatives.

the main and alternative hyperdia links are working fine from my machine - perhaps you could wait a while and try again? Alternatively you may find using a different computer lets you use the site.
I received a reply from the Hyperdia team today who have confirmed they have fixed the issues they had yesterday. They did say however that it may take some time for their fixes to be available everywhere on the internet.
For the level of detail you are looking for, I'm afraid Hyperdia is the best site available in english.

thanks for your answer. I will try again later or perhaps when I am in Japan. Seems to be some kind of DNS-problem so it may indeed take some time before fixes are available all over the net.

As a final possibility, the Hyperdia staff advised that their server IP could also be used: http://202.48.192.17/ however you may have already tried this.
