We are going to japan next month and so far our itinerary looks like narita flying to osaka then we want to go to Osaka, Kyoto, mt fuji at Lake kawaguchi hiroshima and back to tokyo shinjuku
Will the 7 day rail pass cover all trains or better to buy separate tickets and what order to visit is better

Hi Leisa,
Using a 7 day JR Pass will give you amazing savings. The cost of a 7 day JR Pass is about the same as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto using the Shinkansen. Any additional travel is basically free. Especially travel to Hiroshima would be expansive without the JR Pass.
Do note that you still may need to purchase local tickets, such as for travel to Lake Kawaguchiko.
