15 days in Japan - itinerary check

Hi there,

Here is how much it would cost if you bought your tickets separately:

Narita Airport --> Tokyo ¥ 3,140
Tokyo --> Kyoto ¥ 13,720
Kyoto Otsu (optional) ¥ 380
Kyoto --> Tokyo 13,720

This adds up to ¥ 30960 the 7-day JR Pass is ¥ 28,300 so you would save ¥ 2660 + any local travel you may do on JR lines in Tokyo. Of course the pass makes a nice souvenir too :)

You have 90 days to activate your pass from the day it is printed, so you can buy it now or wait a little longer if you have not yet finalized you plans. Either way you are fine!
