I will travel to Hitachi park on the 1st day and 2nd day to Nikko. Is it worth it to purchase JR rail pass? Added to that how to use JR train without JR pass? can the ticket be purchased at the counter or can I use Suica card to board JR train? Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
Not unless you'd do more travel with it. A JR Pass would be useful for instance when you make a trip to Kyoto or Osaka from Tokyo. For your trip you could look at using a Tokyo wide pass.
