I will be travelling from Tokyo airport to Matsumoto on day 1 and back to Tokyo bay area on day 6. Stay in Tokyo bay area for 5 nights before flying back. Just wondering in this plan, does it worth to buy a JR pass? Thank you.

Hi there,
You would not do enough travel for a JR Pass to help you make savings.
For this itinerary I would advise to buy a normal return ticket Tokyo - Matsumoto.
