So this will allow me to have wifi anytime?
So I can use any app that requires wifi? Search up anything on chrome and bus or train schedules no matter where I am at?
I have AT&T and my worse fear is losing service and not knowing where to go because I don't have service.

Yes, the WiFi is available anywhere in Japan, as long as you have mobile service. I've used it myself and its great to find time tables on the go and locate anything using Google Maps.
There are also no roaming costs, making it cheaper than using your own mobile.
