Hi, we will have our upcoming trip to japan pretty soon, and have received the JRPass. Now we are just wondering how to make a seat reservation for our shinkansen from Shinagawa station to Osaka to begin with.

Appreciate any response and answer.

Hi Witantra,

Seat reservations can be made at any JR Station, once you are in Japan and have activated the JR Pass.

Thanks for the reply,

So advance reservation can only be made once the JRPass have been activated?

Lets say I have arrived in Japan and have activated the pass. Is there any way I can reserve the seat online via the web or app?

Yes, that is correct. Unfortunately, we do not yet offer online seat reservations.
