We will be traveling to Tokyo September 27, then flying out out to Korea for a few days and returning to Japan on the October 7th for the remainder of our trip.
We plan to activate a 7 day rail pass at this time.
Will there be any problems validating the pass after reentering Japan?

Hi there!
No I don't see any problems with this, the only important thing is that you enter Japan under a 90 day tourist visa. You will most likely simply get a new one when you re-enter Japan, so there should be no problem at all.
