Hi Daniel-

We are a party of 5 (all ages 12+) Is it worth getting a JR day pass for the following itinerary. If so; which days should the pass be used.

Arrive Narita Airport - 6/2
Tokyo- 4 nights
Kyoto - 3 nights
Tokyo- 1 night
Leave to Narita Airport - 6/10

Where can I find a schedule of departure/arrival between these 2 cities?

Hi there,

The JR Pass for 7-days is similar in price to a return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto. If you do a little more travel with it, then the pass can be worth it for sure. For instance you can use the Narita Express to the airport, local JR lines within cities, make a day trip to Osaka, Kobe or even Hiroshima. The options are endless :)

Trains between Tokyo - Kyoto depart every 30 minutes. You can use Navitime app to find time tables.
