Hi,

Please comment on our itinerary and advise us on whether JR pass is needed for our itinerary. Thank you!
Will be arriving in tokyo and leaving from osaka.

Day 1: Arrival in Narita Airport, travel to airbnb in Shinjuku
Day 2: Tokyo
Day 3: Tokyo
Day 4: Tokyo
Day 5: Day trip to Nikko
Day 6: Shinjuku to Hakone
Day 7: Hakone
Day 8: Hakone to Nagoya
Day 9: Nagoya to Takayama
Day 10: Takayama to Kyoto
Day 11: Day trip to Nara
Day 12: Kyoto to Osaka
Day 13: Universal Studio Japan
Day 14: Osaka - Kansai Airport

Hello there,

I entered your itinerary in our JR Fare calculator and would recommend using a 7 day JR Pass from day 5 - 11. This would give you the best possible use out the of the JR Pass and nice savings compared to purchasing normal rail tickets.
