Hey I am hoping to validate my JR pass once I arrive in Osaka, but want it to activate to start at a later point (about 1 week later) - would this be possible?
Also does anyone have information on the location of the Osaka activation point, as the official site just states 'Ticket Office(Central NO.12,13)' ?
Hi there!
This is no problem at all. You can exchange you your pass and at the same time select a date up to 30 days in the future when you want to start using the pass.
The exchange counter is very easy to find at Osaka station, head to the central ticket gate (there are signs everywhere), once you stand in front of it, turn around (180 degrees) and the exchange point is right in front of you.
