hello
we are planning to leave nozawa onsen morning tues 10th feb 15 to go to hakone and leave hakone fri 13th feb.
we will have a JR pass but it will expire on the 10th feb
how is best to reach hakone and any suggestions of where to stay please?

Hi Elaine,
The best way to travel from Nozawa Onsen to Hakone is to travel to Nagano first, this can be done either by express bus or local trains from Nozawa.
From Nagano take the Shinkansen to Tokyo, this is the fastest way. From Tokyo there are different ways to access Hakone. Details on how to access Hakone can be found HERE.
