NAGOYA TO HOKKAIDO

Yes the JR Pass is valid for all trains within Hokkaido. You can also use the JR Pass for travel from Nagoya to Hokkaido although this is a pretty long trip and can take upto 12 hours. So a plane would be faster.

We plan when arrive at nagoya , we will take train to Tokyo. &then overnight at tokyo. Next only go narita airport to take flight to hokkaido. We will plan in hokkaido for 5days 4 nights trip. After that take flight back to tokyo , we stay in tokyo for2 nights then go back to nagoya to stay 1 night only go back home total our trips take 10 nights. My QN is
1)hokkaido jr pass is only use inside hokkaido only ??
2)our trips is only 10 days. If we buy 14days jr pass then it will be waste for 4days. got any way to buy jr pass for 7 days & any 3days pass from tokyo back to nagoya ? How much the fare ?

1.) Yes! the Hokkaido pass is just for Hokkaido.

2.) I would advise just buying tickets if the only rail travel is between Nagoya - Tokyo, as there's not enough in terms of price for a pass to be helpful.

Can I ask the validity period of jr pass.if i buy 7days pass , our 1st days & 1st time use of jr pass , check in time is 1pm & arrive destination is 3pm.so our jr pass start time is from 1pm or 3pm ? If the start time is 1pm , so our last day validity of use the jr pass will be 8th days 1pm ?? Then how about on 8th days our last check in train is 8am & arrive destination is 3pm. Do we need to paid for this destination or not ? Or as long as our check in time is before1pm jr pass still consider valid.

The JR Pass is counted in days and the first day is counted as a full day - no matter what time you start using it.

Thanks your information. from tokyo to hakodate, any shinkansen like SHinkasen HAYABUSA 37, LTD. EXP HOKUTOSEI , LTD. EXP HAKUCHO 93 & etc not including in JR Pass??? we change plan with take train to Hakodate at night, any suggestion on taking train by use JR pass. if we buy green pass, do we need to buy sleeper seat ? if Yes, how much ??
if we use oridnary pass, how mych the extra money we need to paid for buying the sleeper pass?? what time we should depart from Tokyo to hakodate??

Those trains are all included! I would advise departing from Tokyo around 8-10 a.m. this way you'll have a good amount of time for travel and won't arrive too late in Sapporo.

Sleeper seats are not included, in the normal or Green pass so you'll have to pay for a sleeper compartment if you want to use one. The price depends on the coach type and train traveled on. Generally expect around 8,000-20,000yen per person.

Which way will you suggest to travel from tokyo to hokkaido by using flight or railway ?? Fyi , I have bring my 6 year old sin along. If we travel in morning, we need to seat for 16hrs from tokyo to sapporo, that will be very tired right ? If we travel at night then we can sleep until next morning arrive at sapporo right ? Pls give me clear guidance.
