Multiple entry business visa from Thailand

The JR Pass is only available for holders of the 'Temporary Visitor' entry status. If you are visiting Japan for tourism you will automatically receive this stamp when you enter the country. However, as you will enter Japan under a business visa you will not be eligible. Please confirm with the Japanese Embassy in Thailand exactly what your status will be while you are in Japan - provided you are in possession of a "Temporary Visitor" stamp (maximum stay 90 days), then you will be able to use the JR Pass. If you do not have this then I'm afraid you will not be eligible.

Thank you for your quick response.

In April 2010 I went to have business meeting in Japan for a week. I appled single entry Japan visa for business and got visa as Single entry and temporary visitor. Then at Japan Immigration Inspector, I got sticker of Temporary Visitor with duration of 90 days.

I hope this time when I got multiple entry visa I will get the same indication of "Temporary Visitor" only "Multiple Entry" will be changed.

Yes - as long as you have the Temporary Visitor 90 days stamp you will be valid :)
